Check out the snow!

Just thought I'd share these pictures I just took of the back yard. It's still snowing. It started earlier this evening around 6ish and hasn't quit. Look at the play structure, how much snow has accumalated from 6-11pm. Even on the tricycle's handle bars.

I'm so EXCITED!

Well, I did it! I registered for a regional seminar in Vancouver for Stampin' Up! Oh, I'm so excited! I can't wait. It's not until Friday April 27th but I'm going! Yay! I've read about them and heard stories about them. I hear they are a tremendous amount of fun! Not only do we get business ideas but a new stamp set from the 2007-2008 catalog that hasn't even been released yet! We get to do make and takes and we get to swap with other demonstrators! I asked my upline Marnia how many card fronts she takes to this type of event and she said between 100-150. Usually four designs. I've got my work cut out for me the next few months. I can't wait! It's also an opportunity to learn new things to share at workshops. Hopefully someone will book some workshops so I can share all the fun stuff I've been learning! If you or anyone you know is interested have them email me! I still have 3-4 spaces left in my scrapbooking club that is starting in April. Got to go......take care! oh, my email.... splashry@telus.net.

Finally an update....

Well, it's been a busy week for me. I was preparing for my very first Stampin' Up open house/workshop at my house on Friday night. I actually look back and think about what I was planning to demonstrate and what to have the guests make and laugh.

Originally, we were going to make a 12"x12" scrapbook page and 2 cards. HA! We managed to barely get the scrapbook page done. The cards will have to be deomonstrated at another time.I had stayed up until 1am on Tuesday and Wednesday, making the samples and getting the supplies pre-cut and ready for the workshop. I will upload those images on my paper crafts site.

Thursday, Suzanne and I attended a Birthday card workshop in Langley. It was $25 for 15 cards. 3 cards of 5 designs. Wow! are they ever cute! We didn't even have time for a coffee or even a pee break! It was a continuous 3 hours. I have to say though, it was a lot of fun! And of course we got some real good ideas and really cute cards out of the deal. I just need to take some pictures so I can upload them on my paper crafts blog. Hopefully, if Ryan lets me, tonight.

The workshop went well. I'm trying to start a scrapbooking club, where once a month, us ladies get together and scrapbook a page or two and the only obligtion is a $25 purchase. Each month, there is a new hostess who gets the free stamp set and free shopping merchandise dollars. So far, I have 7 ladies interested. Just have to work out the details as to when and whether we can get 3 more ladies or up the minimum purchase to $35 and stick with the 7. I hope to get started in April.

Other than that, I caught up on my 4 hours of taped tv yesterday. I watched Grey's, American Idol, CSI, ER, Days and Ghost Whisperer. Today, I made a welcome baby card for Austin's mom, (classmate of Ryan) as she just had a baby girl on Wednesday. I have posted that card on my paper crafts site as well. Just have to keep you jumping around from blog to blog. haha.Hope you are well!

Talk to you soon!

Update-Feb 11

Just a quick update. Didn't really do anything too exciting this past week. Spent a day with Dave's mom as she can't drive anymore. Brought her to Chilliwack and did some shopping, picked up Ryan from school, went to White Spot for lunch and had her stay for roast beef supper. Then I took her home. The week itself was samo samo. I did however finish the Valentine crafting for the kids in Ryan's class. I made heart pouches with ribbon so they're like a purse and little red boxes embossed with gold hearts for the boys. I put some chocolate and those conversation hearts inside. I just have to take some pictures of them (once I clear off my craft table) and then I will upload them to my craft blog.

Took Ryan to Austin's birthday party yesterday at the Sho Bu Kai Karate club here in Chilliwack. Ryan did awesome! He actually tried it out. The party included a 45 min karate lesson. The party was fun! That's about it for now. Hope everyone is having a terrific weekend!

January over already?

A couple of sick boys two weeks ago. Now I have been battling it this past week. Still stuffed up, a bit of a cough and can't smell a thing. I hope to be over it by the end of the week.

I know for most that January is a long month. I can't believe it's over already.

Last Saturday I got to go out of the house without the children. Woohoo! It was Suzanne's 40th birthday celebration at the Seahorse Grill. It was a very nice get together. Her brother Mark, whom I had only met in passing, is soo funny. I got to chat a little bit with Sue's mom too. To me it is foreign kind of thing to have a huge family dinner like that. It was great! Suzanne is yet to claim her birthday present yet. Hopefully she will get some time soon!

I joined Stampin' Up again as a demonstrator and am anxiously awaiting my starter kit which has a plethura of new goodies. I can't wait. It should be delivered Thursday according to UPS. Here's hoping.

Other than that, this past week has been pretty uneventful. I made up thank you cards for Ryan's friends at school. I will post the picture on my paper crafts blog once I take a picture of it.

On Saturday, I took Shane into Abbotsford to help Lia get some shopping done. She needed to go to Safeway and the liqour store. We got that all done and we went for a visit back to her place. I helped her discipher some insurance paperwork for her then headed home.

Sue came over last night for me to help her finish her birthday thank you cards. We got them done and now she just has to write in them and send them off. I think she was going to do that today. Did ya get them done?

That's it for now, catch ya on the flip side.

Guess What?
